About This Spot
Stepping into MIKOH in the heart of Bucerías’ Zona Dorada feels like discovering a quiet corner where authentic Japanese flavors meet a warm, inviting ambiance. The light hum of conversation blends effortlessly with attentive service, setting a relaxed yet refined pace that encourages you to savor each moment and dish without rush. The atmosphere bears a thoughtful balance—intimate but unpretentious—with natural textures and subtle details that hint at the care behind the culinary craft. Here, the rhythm of the night is shaped by genuine human connections as much as by the delicate artistry of each plate that arrives at the table.
The menu unfolds like a narrative of flavors, thoughtfully combining familiar sushi traditions with nuanced twists that surprise and delight. Whether it’s the subtle crispness of gyoza, the tender harmony of tataki salmon preparations, or fun, unexpected choices like mango sushi paired with a refreshing naranjada, each bite invites a deeper appreciation of freshness and balance. Portions feel generous yet composed, allowing you to explore a variety of tastes—from the spicy zing of edamame to the rich, comforting notes of tonkotsu ramen—without ever feeling overwhelmed.
What lingers most beyond the food is the genuine warmth shared by the staff, weaving seamlessly into the dining experience. Their attentiveness feels personal and unforced, creating an atmosphere where questions are welcomed and recommendations shared naturally. Many find themselves leaving with a quiet satisfaction, often carrying home little extras for midnight snacks, proof that the enjoyment here extends well beyond the last course.
For those wandering through Bucerías in search of a meal that is both a comfort and a discovery, MIKOH offers a beautifully paced experience—one that quietly celebrates tradition, freshness, and the simple joy of good company.

Excellent experience! The entire staff is lovely, my waiter was Felipe and he did a fantastic job. I also met Martine and Juan Carlos, so friendly and helpful. The sushi was excellent! It was a lot more than I had anticipated so they packed it for me. Midnight snack for the win! But after reading all the reviews, it totally makes sense that that this place has the best rating. If you’re here and like sushi-give this place a shot!

A pleasant experience but we received one item that we did not order, an addition in the end that added to our eating experience. What we did order Gyoza - definitely a 5, very soft but not doughy, packed little morsels packed with flavour. The California Maki was delicious but the creamy texture was overwhelming and somehow became the primary flavour in each bite. Their version of a Teriyaki was delicious, a bit salty, and could use a small bowl of rice to come with the order. The mysterious Tacos - crispy morsels with tuna - they were ok but not to our liking, perhaps because we didn’t select them this isn’t a fair review. We found the staff quite friendly, service reliable - the atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed sitting looking out at the street view. Have to say the Sangria was amazing and one of the best I have had. Overall yes we would recommend, however, prices are pricey though compared to other similar venues.

Wow, if you haven't tried this restaurant, what are you waiting for? We had the Spicy Edamame to start and it was delicious. We had Tempura Maki, and kamikaze rolls for our main. slarge pieces of each, well presented and oh so tasty. The service was great as well. Katrina was our server and very pleasant and attentive. Very reasonable price for the quality and quantity. Highly recommended if you enjoy great Japanese and Thai food. We will be back soon.

MIKOH was one of the best meals we ate while staying in Bucerias. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was incredible. Very authentic to Japanese cooking, and very fresh.

Wow. We loved it. The food was so awesome. I can’t wait to go back there. We had the mixed special fried rice, pad Thai, tempura shrimp, hamachi role and spring roles. The hot dishes were served very hot and the plates and serving dishes were so pretty. Honestly I can’t think of anything that would have made it better.
